On 23AndMe, I see that they show all the test populations and have a ‡Khomani San population they test against. Is correct to say that Southern East African might represent the Khoe? Don't know enough how the tests would differ. In time, this will hopefully become more granular.
Simon, I was curious about this too. That's why I asked Marlize Lombard, chair at UJ, and she said that, yes, Southern East African is Khoe heritage. She also noted that 23andme is not perfect, so we should probably interpret this as suggestive. But the technology is improving fast.
